Book condition requirements

Condition guide to selling your books.

Condition Requirements

  • Acceptable Condition:
    • Some highlighting, writing, or margin notes (not excessive).
    • Clean appearance, no torn pages, cover and spine intact.
    • Normal wear is acceptable, but not excessive wear.
  • Unacceptable Condition:
    • Water damage.
    • Different book than listed on your buyback order.
    • Teacher's editions, instructor's editions, international editions, and similar editions (these will be recycled).

Best Practices

  • Use ISBN: Ensure you use the ISBN on the back of your book. Different editions have different ISBNs, and using the wrong one could result in shipping a book we're not buying back.

Unacceptable Items

  • Notification: If deemed unacceptable, you will receive an email explaining the circumstances.
  • Return Option: We can return the item to you for a $12 shipping/handling fee if you respond to the email within 10 days.
